Christmas Celebration in Downtown Loogootee Set for December 1

The City of Loogootee has officially announced information about the city Christmas Tree Lighting and Christmas Creator Day event.

The Christmas Tree Lighting , Christmas Creator Day, will take place on Sunday, December 1 from 4 pm until 8 pm.

The following event, according to the poster sent out to Facebook, will offer Jazz Choir Performances, Hayrides, Carriage Rides, and the yearly photo with the one the only Santa Claus.

Some areas downtown including The Corner Cafe & Jolene’s Decorating will be open for those to explore throughout the event.

The December 1st Christmas Tree Lighting and Creator Day was met with controversy as some inside sources told The Loogootee Times, Mayor Brian Ader intended to spend over $38,000 for a Christmas tree without public recognition or support, but The Loogootee Times are in the process of confirming this information after last night’s City board meeting (an article analyzing the meeting will be published soon).

At this time there will be more information about the Christmas Stroll coming soon, but as of right now, the Christmas Stroll . Once we get the news we will report it as soon as possible.
