Loogootee American Legion Post Host Veterans Outreach & Bean Dinner This Friday

American Legion Post 120 in Loogootee, Ind., will hold a Free Bean Dinner for all Veterans on Friday, October 18, at 12:30 p.m.
According to The Legion, the event will be held at 112 Church St, the Post building near downtown Loogootee.
The event will showcase three guest speakers who provide information on veteran support services in various areas, including—but not limited to—health care, housing, water preservation, and fire protection. They will also help file appeals and communicate to veterans their rights as veterans.

Two of the guest speakers, Dr. Johnathan A. Cropp, a Nurse Practitioner who works primarily in Shoals at the Martin County Health Center, which is affiliated with Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center, and Todd Bowman, a DVA Service Officer, will speak about events about the health and overall care of military veterans who may need their help in the community.
The first speaker, Kevin Hinton, a District Service Officer, will also address the crowd about military outreach.
The dinner will take place first. The bean’s plate dinner will start at 12:30 p.m., and the guest speakers will begin at 2 p.m.
There will be another dinner at the Loughmiller Machine Shop at 4 p.m. on Monday, November 11, Veteran’s Day.
That event will feature meal options with barbecue ribs or chicken as a main dish.
