Report Rank Loogootee As The Top Rural Community To Work Remotely

On Wednesday, October 16, The Miami Herald newspaper in Miami, Florida rated Loogootee in the Top 18 Rural Communities for people and employees to work remotely.

With Loogootee sitting an hour away from the town of Bloomington, Ind. This has part to do with these employment opportunities along with nearby cities such as Crane and Petersburg.

The town was rated as a city with not just being great for remote work, but in addition, Loogootee was ranked by The Miami Herald for having a two day Amazon delivery timeframe (two day delivery timeframe), good internet speed (1,000 Mbps), a good abundance of grocery stores, and jobs that offer up to over $5,000 in relocation incentives.

The report said, “Loogootee offers a quaint, small-town atmosphere with a strong school system that offers courses in engineering, biomedical science, and cybersecurity. Additionally, Loogootee [School District] was recently named a 4-Star School for the third year.”

In addition to our town of Loogootee, Tell City and Monticello, Ind. were also included on the list which was published to multiple newspapers across the country.
