This list includes all of the closures, updates, and school delays listed below that will impact Loogootee, Daviess County, Washington, Bloomington, and Montgomery, Indiana, according to reports by the Loogotee Community Schools, Monroe County Community School Corporation, and our partners at WAMW Radio:

– Loogootee Community Schools announced on Facebook there will be no school tomorrow, Monday, January 6, due to the snowstorm that has hit Central and Southern Indiana.

This snow day will be made up on Monday, January 20.

Due to the snowstorm, the Boys Basketball JV Tourney at Barr-Reeve has been canceled for Monday, January 6.

The basketball teams are looking to find a new date in February.

In a statement sent out to parents and faculty members, the statement said:

“Tomorrow, January 6, all MCCSC schools will be closed due to inclement weather and Monroe County’s current travel advisory.” The statement read.

“All in-person programs, including the Early Learning Center, Hoosier Hills Child Care, preschools and pre-K programs, and extended day will be closed. All after-school activities are canceled. There will be NO eLearning.”

Daviess Community Hospital Clinics and QuikCare closed today, as did other area businesses, including Eastside Park in Washington and Stoll’s Lakeview restaurant in Loogootee.
