National Weather Service Warns of Cold Chill in Indiana

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has warns residents of an extreme cold advisory in effect until Tuesday at 10 a.m., with temperatures expected to drop below 20 degrees on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Cold Weather Advisory issued January 18 at 2:50PM EST until January 22 at 10:00AM EST

* WHAT…Very cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero expected.

* WHERE…Portions of central, east central, north central, south

central, southeast, and west central Indiana.

* WHEN…From 7 PM Sunday to 10 AM EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero

could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Coldest wind chills during the overnight

hours, daytime wind chills may rise above zero
