Loogootee Pavilion Opens to Kickoff The Loogootee Summerfest 2025

LOOGOOTEE, IN (Martin County Courant) – The 2025 Loogootee Summerfest commenced on Thursday, June 19, with the annual festival featuring live music, competitions, vendors, carnival rides, and more. A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the opening of the new Loogootee Pavilion and green space.

Mayor Brian Ader delivered remarks emphasizing the project’s significance, citing support from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation’s Regional Opportunity initiatives through the Ready 1 grant, as well as contributions from the Martin County Community Foundation and German American Bank.

He recognized partner organizations including Infrastructure Systems, the Southern Indiana Development Commission, the Loogootee City Council, Park Board, Midwestern Engineers, and the Martin County Alliance.

On June 19, Summerfest 2025 celebrated both tradition and new beginnings as the ribbon-cutting kicked off festivities. The city also crowned Chloe Ramsey as the 2025 Miss Summerfest, following her runner-up finish in 2024.

Courtney Memering, a judge in the event for the second time, said, “Over 40 girls participated in this event. I had the pleasure of judging the Loogootee Summerfest Pageant for the second time. There were probably close to 500 people in attendance at the square—excluding people on porches of well-kept older homes—to watch the pageant at the new pavilion. Each time I attend, it feels like stepping into a Hallmark movie—so nice, clean, and welcoming.”

The evening concluded with a concert by ‘The Last Call’ at the new main stage, which hosted the ribbon-cutting. Attendees enjoyed the lively music and festive atmosphere that continues tonight.
