
LOOGOOTEE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is investigating the body of a Washington, Indiana, man recovered from the lake on Saturday.
According to the news release, conservation officers were sent to the area around 6:55 p.m. on reports of someone going under and not resurfacing. Divers with the Indiana Conservation Officers eventually recovered the body of 33-year-old Mitchell L. Worland around 9:25 p.m.
The Indiana Conservation Officers with the DNR would like to remind the public to always wear a life jacket when in or around the water. The death is still under investigation. WTWO will update the story if more information becomes available.
