
LOOGOOTEE, Ind.- Loogootee unfortunately couldn’t capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Evansville Christian Eagles on Saturday. The Lions were given outmatched in this game as the Eagles didn’t forgot about their loss to the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.
Loogootee was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Evansville Christian work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 23-25, 25-18, 25-22.
Jocee Weisenborn went off for Evansville Christian., getting 22 digs and two aces.
Loogootee will head out on the road to challenge Jasper at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Evansville Christian, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Mt. Vernon at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
