Loogootee High School’s athletic department announced that tonight’s tennis matches were canceled due to rain.
The varsity match against Forest Park was halted shortly after it began and will be rescheduled once a suitable date is found.
In addition, the middle school match at Vincennes Clark was also called off, with plans underway to set a make-up date. The rain impacted the entire evening’s schedule, preventing various competitions from proceeding as planned. The athletic department stated that efforts are being made to coordinate new dates for all affected matches.
No further details were provided regarding the rescheduling process, but officials emphasized their commitment to ensuring that student-athletes have the opportunity to compete. Coaches and players are expected to follow updates from the school for future information.
The weather conditions have caused disruptions to several school activities across the district. Fans and participants are advised to stay tuned for official announcements regarding the rescheduled matches. Despite the cancellations, the school reaffirmed its support for the student-athletes and their ongoing athletic programs.
