City of Loogootee Board of Works Meeting Schedules for Tonight

The Loogootee Common Council will conduct a public hearing on the proposed year 2026 budget on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 6:00 PM. The meeting will take place at 401 John F Kennedy Ave, Loogootee, Indiana.

This public hearing is tonight, Monday, September 8, 2025, is an important part of the budgeting process, giving residents a crucial opportunity to review the city’s financial plans and provide their input. The budget is a foundational document that directs funding for essential city services, public safety, infrastructure projects, and community programs that enhance the quality of life for all Loogootee residents.

Following the hearing, any ten or more taxpayers may formally object to a budget, tax rate, or tax levy by filing a petition with the proper officers of the Loogootee Common Council not more than seven days after the hearing. The objection petition must identify the specific provisions of the budget to which taxpayers object.
