
LOOGOOTEE, Ind.- The Barr Reeve Vikings secured a commanding victory over Tecumseh High School in straight sets during the IHSAA Class 2A Volleyball Regionals held at Jack Butcher Arena in Loogootee, Indiana. The final scores were 25-22, 25-18, and 25-17, reflecting the Vikings’ consistent and well-paced performance throughout the Regionals matchup.
Entering the game with determination and confidence after the Loogootee Lions beat Shakamak High School, the Vikings demonstrated resilience, though they did not show overt swagger. The match was closely contested in the first set, with Tecumseh keeping the score tight.
However, Barr Reeve gradually pulled ahead in the second and third sets, showcasing their skill and teamwork to secure the victory. Standout players Lora Graber and Addison Jones played pivotal roles in leading the team to today’s success.
This win marked the Vikings’ 16th consecutive regional title, a remarkable streak that began last year. The team’s continued dominance at both the state and national levels has cemented its reputation as a powerhouse in high school volleyball. Their consistent performance in regional competitions highlights their dedication, training, and strategic prowess.
The victory not only advances Barr Reeve into the Semi-State of the IHSAA Volleyball Tournament, with their opponent and location not yet known, as Semi-State Pairings begin tomorrow, Sunday, October 26.
