After both having extra time off, the Springs Valley and Loogootee will meet. They aim to capture the first Semi-State title for both schools since 1993 for Springs Valley. For Loogootee, it is a chance to win Semi-State since 2020 and win the school’s first State Championship ever.

The two teams are set to hit the court against one another at Jennings County High School at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1.

Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Springs Valley sitting on 13 straight victories and Loogootee on four.

Springs Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Christian Academy.

Maci Eckerty (Springs Valley) Digs:

Maci Eckerty had a dynamite game, getting 16 digs and three aces. That’s the most digs she has posted since back in September.

Eckerty wasn’t the only good servers: Springs Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they’ve now served at least five aces in 21 consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Loogootee earned a 3-1 win over Shakamak on Saturday.

Springs Valley’s victory bumped their record up to 28-4. As for Loogootee, their win bumped their record up to 14-16.

Everything went Springs Valley’s way against Loogootee in their previous meeting back in September, as Springs Valley made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Blackhawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them?
