Impact of Mid-States Corridor: Community Meetings Scheduled

The Coalition Against the Mid-States Corridor, Mid-States Update, and the Property Rights Alliance plan to host town hall discussions on the Mid-States Corridor Project.  Residents, civic leaders, and experts will share how the proposed corridor will impact our communities throughout Dubois, Martin, Daviess, and Greene Counties.

Discussions will include how the Mid-States Corridor could impact the region’s future, from traffic patterns and local taxes to farmland, forests, and community growth.  A brief update will be given on road access issues, tax implications, costs, and other topics, followed by a Q&A session.

The meetings will feature maps, videos, and interactive discussions to help residents understand the potential impacts of the proposed highway route.

The doors will open at 6:30 PM with the meetings to be held from 7 to 8 PM. The locations and dates for these meetings are:

  • Wednesday, April 22 – St. John the Evangelist Parish Center, 407 Church St, Loogootee
  • Monday, April 27 — Simon J. Graber Community Center, 9164 E 875 N, Odon (This event has been Rescheduled to Tuesday, April 28 due to scheduling conflict)

These events are free to the public.  We encourage you to bring family, friends, and neighbors to learn more about what this means to your pocketbook, your town’s future, and how it could shape our region’s future.
