LOOGOOTEE, Ind. — High school basketball fans across southern Indiana will have a marquee event on their calendars late this year, as Loogootee High School’s iconic Jack Butcher Arena prepares to host the Hoosier Crossroads Holiday Tournament.
The inaugural event is scheduled for Dec. 22–23, 2026, and will be sponsored by Bobcat of Daviess County, according to an announcement from The Loogootee Sports Facebook page.
The two-day event will bring together top boys and girls basketball programs for early-season showcase action. The eight-team boys tournament field will feature host Loogootee alongside Brownstown Central, Paoli, Indianapolis Lutheran, Salem, Wes-Del, Evansville Christian, and Waldron.
In addition to the boys bracket, a four-team girls tournament will take place on Dec. 23, featuring Loogootee, Brownstown Central, Monrovia, and Boonville.
Organizers noted that while this year’s lineup features a select group of competitive regional programs, plans are already underway to expand the tournament field to include additional local teams in future seasons.
Matchups, tipoff times, and ticket sales information will be announced closer to the event. Local fans and prospective attendees can follow school athletic channels and local announcements for updates ahead of the December showcase.
