While we do not inherently oppose the Mid-States Corridor, our perspective is often shaped by the weekly stories we receive from Mr. Jim Arvin, who oversees his writings in all local publications in Martin, Daviess, and Dubois County. He communicates through the organization STOP The Mid-States Corridor, which can hinder our ability to maintain complete objectivity from a journalistic standpoint. We recognize that opinions differ, and many of our readers do not support the project for personal reasons. We welcome you to share your reasons for supporting the Mid-States Corridor, as we are dedicated to presenting both sides of the debate to provide our readers with a deeper understanding of the issue.
The “Loogootee Times” has taken a very neutral stand regarding the Mid-States Corridor project. Yes, my letters are in opposition to the project. I spell out exactly why the Corridor is not good for Loogootee, Martin County and Indiana. I point out the disingenuous statements made by INDOT, the Mid-States Corridor RDA and the Lochmueller Group. I have made no false claims. I suggest you attend a Property Rights Alliance meeting and have an open conversation. The next meeting is December 18 at the Schnitzelbank at 6:30 PM.
Yes, I am opposed to the Mid-States Corridor for fiscal, environmental and cultural reasons. I do however, endeavor to present facts. There are several social media accounts, Mid-States Corridor and Hoosiers for the Corridor are 2 of the most pro-Corridors Facebook pages. The Dubois County Free Press is another publication that presents unbiased Mid-States Corridor reporting. Please attend a Property Rights Alliance meeting and hear facts not just opinions. I will happily debate this topic with anyone at any time.
when are you going to publish a Pro- MidStates corridor editorial?
Why are you biased against it?
Thank you for your response, Mr. Norris.
