Remembering Marvin Graber, Ethan Jerome Doyle, and Mary Bradley

April 13, 1948-March 19, 2026

Marvin Graber, 77, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026 with his family by his side.

He was born on April 13, 1948, to Mahlon & Mattie (Yutzy) Graber. On June 12, 1977, he married Carolyn Marner.

Marvin was a true jack-of-all-trades. He worked as a farmer, spent many years as a maintenance technician at Boggs Lake, and dedicated several years to small engine repair. He was also a member of Mt. Joy Church in Odon, Indiana. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ervin, Ezra, and Mahlon, Jr., and sister, Mary Ellen.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Carolyn Graber, their children, Jeff (Joanna) Graber of Ukraine, Jason (Melissa) Graber of Loogootee, Regina (Andy) Weaver of Foxworth, MS, Christina (Jerald) Witmer of Smithdale, MS, Marvin (Joanna) Graber, Jr. of Elnora, Indiana, and Katrina Graber of Loogootee, grandchildren, Karlin, Rosalie (Nevin Yoder) Lanae, Jarell, Glendon, Randall, Lyndell Graber, Cheyanne (Jasper Reimer), Serena Weaver, Austin, Jeremy, Nolan, Kendric, Sherilyn, Carson, and Adrian Witmer, Keeanna, K’Senia, Sebastian, Rhema Graber, sisters, Amanda Davis of Goshen, IN, Fern (Tim) Sult of Loogootee, IN, Lena (Kenny) Stemen of Loogootee, IN, Dorothy (Jim) Gilbert of Loogootee, IN, Joanne (Curt) Yoder of Anderson, IN, brother, Delmar (Vera) Graber of Cannelburg, IN.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at the Shiloh Community Center in Odon, Indiana at 10:00 a.m. Buial to follow at Mt. Joy Cemetery, Odon, Indiana.

Visitation will begin on Monday, March 23, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Shiloh Community Center and continue on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 from 2:00 P.M until 4:00 P.M and 6: 00 P.M until 8:00 P.M.

Ethan Jerome Doyle

May 11, 1993-March 18, 2026

Ethan Jerome Doyle, 32, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at his residence. Born on May 11, 1993 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the beloved son of Ruth A. Doyle.

Ethan was an avid sports enthusiast who loved watching SportsCenter and was a devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Music was the backdrop of his life and he cherished the time he spent with friends and family. Creative and thoughtful, he enjoyed expressing himself through art and writing, particularly when it came to sports.  Ethan was a 2011 graduate of Barr-Reeve High School and attended Vincennes University. During his time at Barr-Reeve,  he played basketball for four years and did an internship publishing sports articles with the Washington Times Herald, showcasing both his passion and talent. He possessed a curious and imaginative mind, along with a strong interest in technology, always eager to learn and explore new ideas.

Ethan was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth, and grandfather, Jerome Doyle.  He leaves behind his loving parents, Jim and Angela Doyle; his sisters: Morganne Doyle (Jordan Graber), Molleigh Doyle (Shane Smith), Macenzie (Jeffrey) Moeller; his girlfriend, Kenzie Nolan; grandparents: Rachel Doyle, Mark and Linda Strange; aunt Andrea Strange and uncle Travis (Brooke) Strange and their children.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker and concelebrant Father Frank Renner at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, with a private burial to take place at a later date in St. John Catholic Cemetery.  

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 beginning at 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee, Indiana, and again from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loogootee.

Mary J. Bradley

March 30, 1933-March 20, 2026

Mary J. Bradley, 92, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Poplar Care Strategies in Loogootee, Indiana. Born on March 30, 1933, she was the youngest daughter of George and Sarah “Sadie” (Greenwell) Bradley.

Mary was a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Church. She lived a simple life rooted in deep faith, finding joy in the everyday moments that mattered most. She was a fan of Loogootee and I.U. basketball. She lovingly cared for generations of local children, cherishing each laugh, story, and small hand held in hers. The outdoors was her sanctuary, and she found her greatest happiness in tending her garden under bright, open skies—sunny days were her absolute favorite, bringing her a special kind of peace and warmth that she carried within her. She also shared her love through her kitchen, where her homemade white chocolate-covered pretzels became treasured treats that family and friends eagerly anticipated.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Irene Ford, Eileen Haag, “Bill” William C. Bradley, Lucille Bradley, Benard Bradley, and Joe Bradley.  

Surviving is her niece, Rita Divine of Loogootee; great-nieces: Jackie (Kyle Jones) Lannan of Evansville, Indiana, Jessie (Jason) Bell of Loogootee; and 5 great-great nieces and 1 great-great nephew who were like her own grandchildren: Gabrielle, Sophia, and Vivienne Lannan; Cora, Rawlings, and Remington Bell; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 26, 2026 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loogootee, Indiana with burial to follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Thursday, March 26, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. John Catholic Cemetery Fund.
