ODON, Indiana — Daviess Community Hospital is set to host its annual Community Health Fair on Friday, Sept. 19, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Simon J. Graber Complex. The event offers residents an opportunity to complete routine health checks, ask questions, and connect with local health resources at affordable prices.
The fair will feature free offerings such as biscuits and gravy from 7 to 10 a.m., BINGO from 9 to 10 a.m., and various health screenings including cholesterol, blood pressure, and mental health assessments. Participants can also receive low-cost screenings and vaccines, with some services like spirometry, PSA tests, and mammography available at reduced rates.
Specialized screenings include a calcium heart scan and genetic testing options, with appointments required for certain procedures. The event also features a vendor fair showcasing local services and community partners, which is free to attend.
Attendees are advised to fast for eight hours prior to specific tests and to call ahead for appointments at (812) 254-9324. The health fair aims to promote wellness within the community and is open to all residents.
