The Loogootee Senior Center continues to serve as an active community hub for area seniors, offering fitness classes, sponsored lunches, and social gatherings to keep local residents engaged.

Located at 406 NW 1st St. in Loogootee, the center provides a welcoming space for physical wellness and fellowship each week. The following is the schedule of programs and events taking place for the week of September 7 through September 11:

• Monday, September 7th: Closed for Labor Day
  The Senior Center will be closed in observance of the holiday.
• Tuesday, September 8th: Community Lunch & Game Day Tuesday: 11:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  Enjoy lunch provided by Odon Locker at 11:30 a.m., followed by an afternoon of board games, cards, and socializing from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, September 9th: Exercise with Functional Fitness: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
  Stay active with a guided movement session designed to build functional strength and everyday mobility.
• Thursday, September 10th: Lunch and Bingo with Martin County Council on Aging: 11:30 a.m.
  Join fellow members for lunch and an afternoon of bingo hosted by the Martin County Council on Aging.
• Friday, September 11th: Chair Exercise & Game Day
  Start the morning with low-impact chair exercise from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., then return for Friday Game Day from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

In addition to weekly programming, the center has opened registration for two upcoming special events later this month:

• Loogootee Senior Center Cookout and Casino Night: Friday, September 18 at 6:00 p.m.
  This adults-only evening features fresh grilled cookout food alongside casino-style games and entertainment. A sign-up sheet is now available at the center for attendees to reserve their spot.
• Fall Potluck Dinner: Wednesday, September 30 at 11:30 a.m.
  Celebrate the season with good food and great company. Community members are invited to sign up at the facility, list the number of attendees in their party, and note which dish they plan to bring.
